Sayulita shows the power of community after flooding caused by Hurricane Roslyn.

OCTOBER 23rd, 2022.

The damages left by hurricane Roslyn were no rival to the strong high-spirited Sayulita community. The town had an outstanding immediate response to help in every possible way. Groups of people form near-by towns, tourists, authorities, and even the military pitched in with hard work and smiles to clean up the flooded community.

Security and safety protocols are important to have in place that can be executed immediately when nature decides to pay a not so positively memorable visit. Sayulita has united many people that have never allowed themselves to be defeated in negative situations such as this natural disaster.

Help was around in every way, shape and form. You could find people handing out sandwiches, fruits, beverages, and shoveling mud away from homes. You could also see pick-up trucks donating new mattresses, refrigerators, food, TV, and other home good essentials.

Caivamá and Stately Developments, were present during the restoration process as we gathered a staff team to help clean the town and homes of the most affected families with shovels, brooms, food, water, and general emotional support.

Hopefully, it will be a long time before we have to face another natural disaster, but no matter what happens, Sayulita and its people will remain strongly united to overcome any future adversity.
